
Dear compatriots! We invite you to an exhibition of Abkhaz artists in Moscow. The State Central Museum of Contemporary History of Russia will held exhibition of Abkhaz artists from the fund of Abkhaz National Gallery. Due to historical and cultural closeness of the two countries, Russia and Abkhazia, the core of the exhibition, the main theme is the mutual influence of Russian and Abkhazian artists whose works are a treasure of the National Gallery of the Republic of Abkhazia. The current exhibition of works by artists of Abkhazia from the PA SAG Foundation is the first attempt to show the professionals, amateurs and connoisseurs of art, residents of the capital of Russia – works of artists in the pre-war decade, as well as works created in the postwar period. Abkhazia artists, studying with renowned masters of Russian immigrants, and continued their studies in the best universities of the Soviet Union, have absorbed the best that has been achieved in our country. Influence of Soviet realism, and through it, and of French Impressionism and other movements gave the artists the opportunity to reveal the inner, multi-faceted world of the authors. Our artists created their works through the prism of emotional, sensual perception of the world. The exhibition consists of 48 works - landscapes, still lifes and portraits. Visitors will have the opportunity to see paintings of famous artists: C Ajinjal, O. Brendal, A. Sementsov, T. Ampar, V. Bubnov and others. The exhibition is organized and conducted within the framework of the cultural season "Russia-Abkhazia" by the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation together with the Ministry of Culture and Protection of Historical and Cultural Heritage of the Republic of Abkhazia.
