February 5 at Moscow House of Nationalities ceremony summarizing the IX Open festival of documentary films and television programs of the copyright of the North Caucasus "Kunaki" In addition, the president of the festival "Kunaki" Sulieta Kusova invites young people to a free discussion on the theme "Cinema of the Caucasus and for the Caucasus", under which it is planned to discuss the development of cinema and television in the North Caucasus in the context of ideological opposition to extremism and terrorism. The event will announce the names of winners of the festival in three categories: Best Feature Documentary, Best Short Documentary, Best TV film will be announced as winner of the main prize of the IX Open Festival "Kunaki." There were more than two hundred applications submitted, of which the competition program jury selected 43 works. The best films will be screened for guests of the Moscow House of Nationalities. The only festival of its kind in the south of Russia got its name thanks to ancient Caucasian tradition - kunachestvo, meaning hospitality and friendship between people of different nationalities and beliefs. The partners of the festival are - Russian Union of Journalists, the Association of Documentary Film Union of Cinematographers of Russia, Guild of Film Critics of Russia, the Russian Congress of Peoples of the Caucasus, the Russian newspaper, and others.
