Writer George D. Gulia, the son of People's poet of Abkhazia, the founder of the Abkhazian script Dmitry Gulia, was born 14 March 1913 in the capital of Abkhazia, Sukhum. Educated railway engineer, worked on the construction of the Black Sea railway. He was engaged in journalism, painting and graphics. After his death in 1989, the International Biographical Centre, which is located in Cambridge (England), included a biography of G.
